Syracuse Hillel seeks to provide every Jewish student with the opportunity to explore and build an enduring relationship with Israel. 

Syracuse Hillel offers a number of different opportunities to connect with Israel including, but not limited to:

 

  • Birthright IsraelBirthright is a free 10-day trip to Israel where you explore Israel, experience the culture and make lifelong friends! Syracuse Hillel offers trips during winter break and after the semester ends in May. Registration is now open!

  • Perspectives Trip to Israel and the West Bank: Perspectives is Syracuse Hillel's leadership journey to Israel and the West Bank. The purpose of this program is to educate emerging and current SU undergraduate student leaders about the region, shining an intentional light on the nuances of life there, in an immersive and experiential way. 

  • Israel Learning Fellowship: ILF is Hillel's 10-week learning fellowship designed for students who are curious about the "Jewish state" and/or passionate about it! If you want to learn or share knowledge about Israel's history, culture, diversity, ethos, myths and much more, apply to the fellowship. 

  • Orange for Israel: OFI is SU's pro-Israel student group on campus.

  • Study Abroad at TAU: Syracuse University Abroad offers programs in Israel at Tel Aviv University. Tel Aviv University is the largest university in Israel and the biggest Jewish university in the world. The program is taught in English and has a required Intensive Hebrew Language Program (Ulpan). The programs offer a rich variety of exciting courses in the fields of International Relations, Social Sciences, Arts, Environmental Studies, History, Religion, Business, and many more.

  • Masa: Masa Israel Journey offers young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 immersive, life-changing gap year, study abroad, post-college and volunteer experiences in Israel, connecting them to programs that meet their interests, offering scholarships, providing expertise, and supporting them throughout the entire process.

  • Onward Israel: Onward Israel offers exciting resume building opportunities – internships, academic study and fellowships – providing a global, cross-cultural experience in Israel and direct contact with Israeli peers.

  • "Coffee" with our Jewish Agency Israel Fellow, Omer: Our Israel Fellow, Omer, can't wait to get to know you! Omer bout SU, Israel, Judaism, or anything else you're passionate about!
